Nofire
Technologies Australia is the manufacturers distributor
in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and through
out the South Pacific of patented, high performance fire retardant
/ intumescent paint and products. This patented intumescent fire
retardant paint is now available in Australia for you to consider
for your next project.
Consider reducing the deadly consequences of flashover
in the out break of fire by applying Nofire a-18 intumescent paint
or Nofire LP intumescent coatings to walls structural supports and
other building materials such as composites, plastics, fibreglass,
and aluminium.
Intumescent
Process
When heat is applied the chemical reaction begins
- Heat begins to soften the polymeric binder.
- Heat also causes a release of an organic acid
(from the Ammonia Polyphosphate)
- Carbonisation of the polyols begins to take
place.
- Gas is then produced through the decomposition
of the blowing agent (melamine), swelling the molten mixrure.
- The final stage is solidification of the foamed
char, through a cross-linking reaction, to maintain the insulation.
What Is Passive Fire Protection?
Passive systems are barriers, ceilings, walls and structures that
can resist fire for prescribed periods of time, passive fire protection
is not electronic, sensory or able to raise fire alarms. The overall
purpose of passive systems is to contain or reduce and delay the
spread of fire flash over and building collapse.
